A suggestion...

For those of us who own The Gold Experience. If you have a
CD burner, make a copy of it and use the copy to play it for
your listening pleasure. My copy scratched about 3 months
ago, and I finally found a copy in a used CD shop 2 weeks ago.
Since it's not being sold anymore by WB, it's been a rare find
at the wrecka stow. Just my twocents

I've learned long time ago to make an extra copy of your original so you who'd have a back up but I didn't do that with TRC now I've got to buy another one its scratched on my favorite song "The Everlasting Now"sad

Try being more careful w/ your cd's, then they won't get scratched!

Keep them in their out of print cd cases when not in use!

That oughta do the trick wink

How'd you know they don't sell them anymore?
...Did they have a limited # of them, or are they just being stubborn with Prince releases?

eye wonder if Prince kept the master tapes of the Gold Experience...

wasn´t there a dispute between WB & Prince about releasing this CD. He showed a commercial B4 the D&P-concert 4 the GE- album and it mentioned that the GE would NEVER B released...hmm

I think you're correct on that. While WB will continue to sell copies of Prince's old CDs, the Gold Experience was made an exception due to some of the heated disputes behind which songs would be on it, etc.

The scratched copy is no good. But arrangements can be made.
