God why are ye all so miserable? I thought this was a fan site? Some of you are so negative and dismissive of the man. Why are ye even members here? I love Prince since 1983 and take the good which far out weighs the bad. The man is a fricking genius. Just leave it at that and accept it. Now I am just gonna watch Beyonce induce him on Channel 4. Well, that was a much longer acceptance speech than I expected. Nice that he explained why he didn't perform.
And he managed to just bit his tongue on giving a sermon on the state of the music biz, and said 'God' instead of 'Jehovah', both of which should give bored gossip columnists less ammunition tomorrow.... which might mean he won't get mentioned at all. [Edited 11/16/06 14:59pm] | |

That was brilliant! Well done Prince! I love how he always shows everyone who thinks hes rubbish how great he must be, with his standing ovations bigger than anyone else, his introductions from the modern heroes like Pharell, and Beyonce mentioning "quarter of a century"!

That was a long time coming! plus at the start of the show.... when Prince was mentioned, there was a HUGE roar of appreciation... f-ing brilliant. Got to say it made mu night and made me want to go to Vegas - BIG TIME. My mate just called and said return flights from £320.... VERY tempting. But I would have to leave my other half behind.... and as he is a big Prince fan too... can't see him being very impressed!! | |

For all those of you who think the jokes are negative you'all got it wrong. It's obvious that he looks good and is having a good time and he's being appreciated by being given an award. What's so amusing is the shape of that award it's awful and begs to be made fun of. Also these pictures caputure him looking stylin as always but lighten up people are on this site are like family you gotta jab once in a while. The photo shoppped pictures made me laugh and laugh hard but not at the man. | |
