That's an interesting question. If he was broke and let's say not famous, would we love him that much or would we just thing is an excentric funny thing. Honestly, and I'm gonna hide myself from flying tomatoes , I probably wouldn't see him the same and wouldn't want to meet him that bad. I just wanted to be honest.

if people like him simply because he's rich, then they've got problems.

If Prince was broke,
then I'd say "Don't fix him".

Yes, because he'd still have talent for singing and dancing.

Yeah, I would love him still. I loved my baby's daddy and he wasn't worth shit. 'least Prince could scribble me a ditty or something.

I think I would like Prince even if he was the pizza delivery guy. He's my kind of people. Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.

Broke and not famous with no expectations...
I'd love to hear what that music sounds like. No matter what, it must be hard to separate yourself from the past as well as from public expectation. It would probably put him in a better place creatively. Why do you like playing around with my narrow scope of reality? - Stupify

Of course!
Prince has given me lots of listening pleasure but he's never given me any money...so how could I possibly love him because he's rich?

I think they'd actually like him more. It'd give him a sympathetic edge, kind of like martyrdom. And I bet ya he'd create some of his greatest songs ever while recording on welfare. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

he'd be more interesting because he'd have to rely more on his imagination than what he could buy.

what kind of question is that?? of course I would!

I can just imagine a broke Prince's new album, and what kind of interesting song titles it'd produce.
Prince: The Death Of MONEYappolis 1. Don't Pay Me 2. The Pigs R Here 2 Stay 3. Thought She Loved Me 4 Me 4. The Truth of the eCONomy 5. How Do U Do It? 6. Subway 2 Nowhere 7. Why Me? Why U? 8. Can U Spare A Dime If Give U a Rhyme? 9. Faded Purple 10. Please Keep Buying Purple Rain, I Need the Royalties (hidden track, not a song) The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

I think the die-hard fans would love Prince more if he was broke....because then he can go to New Orleans for future Jazz Fest and earn some of the money back by showing people what real music sounds like.

I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

His greatness would be more obvious if he led an average garage band. My Legacy

Prince would look kinda cute in one of those pizza delivery outfits. It would be like that line in "Under the Cherry Moon" where he sneaks into Mary's window at night and says, "Did you order a pizza, ma'm?" RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

(Not calling you that) If he were surrounded by great, he would rise to the occasion. Poor doesn't mean average. There are many guys here in NYC that play gig to gig just to make it thru the week, but as far as greatness goes, these guys are the real thing. Very few "known guys" can touch a good handful of them. Why do you like playing around with my narrow scope of reality? - Stupify

When I first saw Prince he WAS a broke down kid with a big afro, so to me it would just be him going full circle, loved him then will always love him!
