prince fans spread the word. stand up! organize i was just thinking the other day. wat happens when the grim reaper comes to knock on all of our doors. there will be no more of us prince fams,purple party people, new breed leaders,purple hippies, etc. left here on earth. so i think that we all should spread the word to the new generation so that our legacy of prince fans can live on even when prince and all of us our gone. so wat u should do is sit down an make ur kids watch GB,PR,and UTCM 3 times a day.lol just kidding.but seriously i think we should pass it on. so wat do u guys think? | |

One of the reasons that I like the music that I do, is that I've never had someone trying to influence my tastes. My musical interests have always been shaped most strongly when I've discovered it for myself. . ALT+PLS+RTN: Pure as a pane of ice. It's a gift. |

I do this in subtle ways. When my class was working quietly, I have put on NEWS or Kamasutra or Madhouse stuff as background noise (I teach high school). This has sparked a slight discussion about how Prince is more than what U see/hear on the radio and television. Now I have a few students who request "East" during work times. 
When "Black Sweat" came out, they asked me about it, and asked to hear other stuff by him... (I keep it clean!) After the BET Awards... please!

Why should I care if someone else likes Prince's music? That won't make it sound any different to me when I'm enjoying it. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

It is our duty to convert the infidels who are ignorant in the ways of Prince and educate them accordingly. We must rise up and cleanse the world, which is now so utterly polluted with false idles and heretics which, in turn, will spell the demise of music both as an artform and entertainment.
I have already begun the assimilation process on my flatmate and have had positive results. Having subjected him to weekends solely watching Purple Rain and listening to nothing but Prince whilst plying him with copious amounts of alcohol and indian takeaways he is now capable of dancing to 'The Bird' and 'Jungle Love' almost independently. Whilst this is a modest achievment, I intend to carry on with my work and will be spending the next few weeks reseaching home-made explosives... U ain't funky at all, you're just a lil old prude, just a lil, rich, party poop... | |

I've already done my part both of my children were conceived, born and raised listening to Prince's music.
They may not think he's cooler than say Eminem or Jay Z but they have a serious appreciation for his music. They're 18 and 20 now and both will tell you in a heartbeat that they love him not just for his talent but because his music has saved their asses on many occasions. Music may soothe the savage beast but ONLY Prince's music can soothe this Savage Mama when she's pissed!  | |

Well, if Prince stays in the media long enough, then he might end up with some younger ppl. I got to know him from BET. I talk about him all the time to fam and sometimes to friends. Mom likes his older music. I got her to listen to one of his newer songers. Really, in the end, it is all up to that person. | |

I agree with you guys. I am seventeen and absolutely love Prince: from Controversy to Crystal Ball to Parade to 3121. It is intense to see how his music has changed over the years and to grasp the meanings behind most of his songs. It is a shame no one sings like that anymore. Now most of my friends listen to that rap crap and whenever I mention Prince, they usually respond with, "Isn't he crazy?" or "That's the guy with the symbol, right?" No one even knows how deep and influential he is because he deosn't rap about shooting people, (excluding Bob George)doing drugs, and he is not a G...lol! Steve Martin~"Where did Prince go?"
