Prince (Various Questions about Vegas Shows)

OK...
I have been out of the Prince loop and wanted to get some info about his Vegas shows.

Here are my questions:

1)I heard tickets are $125. Is that exact? Are they standing? seated? General admission? First come/first serve? (If so how long in advance would you suggest arriving to get a GREAT spot?)

2)Where do you get tickets? ticketmaster?

3)Are the concerts only on Fridays? Is it every Friday?

4)Setlist anyone?

5)Is there smoking allowed in the venue he is performing at? Smoking at all?

6)How long will the shows last? (Meaning: When will Prince stop doing the Vegas shows?)

Thanks for answering my ?'s

Without wishing to sound unduly unhelpful, if you have been out of the loop, you might find looking at the home page headlines (and links), visiting the official site - www.3121.com - and browsing the latest posts in the Concert forum will answer a lot for you.

OK....But still..I ask what is the situation with the smoking? Is smoking allowed there or not? Is there smoking going on during the show? I'm allergic to smoke that is why I ask.

If no-one is able to answer your question, it's probably best to telephone the venue to check that out.

However, I very much doubt Prince would want to perform at a club where smoking was permitted during his show.

Unfortunately, there was smoking inside the club during the concert. I came home smelling like a cigarette factory and feeling really stuffed up from being around all the smoke. BUT ... it was very much worth it. That was the most awesome performance I've ever seen!

I came home smelling like incense and almost didn't notice people smoking. One guy was smoking pot right on the floor so anything goes I guess.

CoolMF

I'd imagine that smoking's permitted. I saw Prince at the Tabernacle in Atlanta and the Wherehouse in Houston earlier this year and there was smoking going on (me included) in both shows. Hell, folks were smoking pot in the Houston show.

As for Vegas, everywhere in Vegas is tobacco and alcohol friendly- anything to get you to gamble. Make no mistake- Rio's counting on masses to spill out of 3121 at the end of the show and head straight to the casino.

Here is another question..

Can you just check out the giftshop? or do you have to have a ticket to get into the giftshop?

He won't be there long, I'll bet in 2 months he might not show at all. It really doesn't sound like it's going as he thought it would so far!
