There´s nothing that he would have to prove to ME.
"When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

Seems to me that he's done the lot, i.e. all ends of the music spectrum, toured consistently from small clubs to grand arenas [still able to sell out stadiums!], hit all ends of the charts, sold millions, hit commercial and creative peaks and troughs, done everything possible in the studio, played with his image to every degree, has easily released enough videos and out takes to cover the main bases, has an incredible work ethic etc.
I really can't think of anything else, can you?.If I was Prince i'd be bored!

How can he be bored? I can think of one thing he hasn't done? And if he has then I never heard about it,and maybe one day he might, but who knows. He hasn't made any music or video's or movies with Michael jackson. I've seen every picture, movie. Heard just about all his music, but I have yet to see him & Micael jackson doing a project together. After I see that then I'll say he's done it all.

to truely love someone with all of his heart. I am not saying he hasn't, but if you truely love someone it is hard to leave them. It is like something is missing and you keep trying to fill the hole. Just to find out that you made the hole bigger than it was in the first place. Besides that, Prince could do a performance at Kent State University Student Center. YAY!!! Or Prince could give away his money and do average person life things like work in an office or McDonals and settling down. Just ideas.

neutral Let me find out what McDonalds he'll be working in..I'll be in there everyday

What? they are just ideas! He doesn't have to do them. Plus, he should stay in the music world anyways. It suits him. literally.

He has to prove he can make a legitimate comeback on the charts. Not just on the r&b charts bt the Top 40. Id love to see him dethrone pop stars like Timberlake and 50 Cent. That would be the ultimate "told ya so!!" Have a total revival even if it meant reforming The Revolution and becoming more media-friendly. I know he can do it. He just has to be willing to play the industry game a little bit.

Nothing to prove, but I'm still waiting on his comeback, I mean having a real hit song or album again as an elder statesman/legend of music.

It was, but it fell fast. I think it went #1 partly because of the huge success of the Musicology tour rather than having a hit single people wanted.

It had the potential to be really big, though. More potential than any album since Gold, IMO. It just wasn't promoted well enough

After it was released it was NOT promoted at all.

exactly. It had some hype up until release, and then nothing. So it died a quick death. It went #1, but it felt like another flop, or to put it nicer, another missed opportunity.

Well
he did do a song for Happy Feet.
It's a movie that involves funny dancing animated creatures
& is geared towards children.

Is that close enough?

The only thing left is to prove that he can still write a new pop single that captivates the masses.

but it's definitely something he's never done. Commercially, I actually think this is a great idea. Maybe not artistically.

nah, he's already proved it several times, methinks it very unfair to ask him to prove something over again, may as well ask him to come up with another SOTT, multi-platinum etc. Also in today'e radio climate he'd be damn licky to get any decent level of mass radio play.

get radio to play him and then he'd have the incentive to write with that aim in mind. Black Sweat could easily have gone top 10 in the US.
