here's a tip: Don't believe anything you hear and only half of what you read Here's an even better tip: When people talk about 'interviews' don't assume they're talking about what's in print. And even if it was don't doubly assume there is something to gain by the parents by lying about it.

This must be the most interesting post in months. It's so interesting that I'll reply something for the first time instead of just watching as I always do. Here's some of my own
1. Don't give a damn about the man's personal life: don't care who their girlfriends are, or what kind of cereals he like. I only care about his music. Of course I've never read a biography and I'm not planning on it. 2. I really believe the man is insane, out of his brain. (Also think his music is really improved by that fact) 3. I consider his 80's clothes to be strange and often ridiculous(at least I'd go to a carnival with some of them). Honorable mention to the lovesexy period 4. I have nothing to say about his name changes: it was his decision and noone else's. Sure it was bad to his career, but I also believe he has enough creative power to return to the spotlight when he wants (D&P and Batman are examples that he can make commercial music in his sleep) 5. People can say what they want about the musical ability of the revolution. They had lots of personality, and they are also his most famous backup band in history. 6. For me some of his protegees have lot's o' talent, and some of the songs written by prince in his albums deserve a listen: Sheila E. is a wonderful percusionist, and W&L are amusing composers and producers. 7. I don't have his first two albums and I don't care 8. I believe emancipation is his finest work of the entire 90's, and the 2nd CD to be one of his best song collections ever. 9. Without a shadow of doubt: the man has the most interesting vault I can think of, and also the best non-album songs. 10. I don't think Controversy, Parade, ATWIAD, D&P, the symbol album, graffiti bridge and TRC are classics. 11. I don't think Batman, Come, Chaos and disorder and the Black album are good albums. 12. And finally, I do think Prince has the most sectarian legion of fans ever. In fact, I can hardly guess how so many people here can subordinate their lives to one idol, genious or not. (Prince has said he hates fanatics? Who does he think are paying the 100 bucks NPGMC subscription? Shut up and show more respect man!) | |

Trying to get most of it back now. - I used to call pronounce Mayte's name as (MAYTEE) not (Mai Tai) - I absolutely hate the NPG Snow Boots
- I don't know the names of his guitars, except for the "clouds" - I sometimes forget the lyrics 
- I thought the Gun Microphone was stupid. - I hated and despised the "Tornado" hair during D & P era - I thought the 3 Chains of Gold Video sucked. - I hated the video to Raspberry Beret
- I can't stand Maceo Parker
- Just started listening to the NPG Ahdio Shows 
- And, I don't think Prince will ever release the so called vault material. 
- I don't think Larry Graham plays the bass that well and he definitely needs to get rid of that White outfit he always wears and get the  out of Prince's House.
