Blurb about Prince in new US Magazine (with pic)

In the March 17 issue of US magazine there is a very small picture of Prince and Mani, and a short blurb about their attendance of clive Davis' pre-Grammy party on Feb. 22 in New York City.

Here is the text & picture from the magazine:

Prince doesn't always act like royalty. The former Artist, 44, never even bothered to RSVP to Clive Davis' pre-Grammy party February 22 at the Regent Wall Street in New York City, yet he still showed up with an entourage, including wife Manuela Testolini, 26. A source says that one of his bodyguards demanded a table, and "five people had to be moved just so his group could be seated."

Sorry the scan of the pic is so grainy. The picture was VERY small and this is the best scan I could get.

The angle of this photo and the tilt of Prince's head sort of makes it look like the photographer was going to just take a picture of Mani, but before he was able to Prince quick leaned into the frame like "Let me get on in here too, man.."

I do hope that is an exageration. I'd hate to think that Prince has come so far in the truth yet still behaves like he is better than others.

Would you let me into Paisley Park, Prince, if I had no appointment? Didn't think so. no no no!

A report on this party a couple of weeks ago stated that P got a standing O at the set.

In any event, it don't matter whether he's still got stroke. His place in history is secure.

At the Artist's Rights Luncheon, or whatever it's called, I recently saw a brief video of Prince talking with Roberta Flack. He seemed in very good spirits and all smiles and Roberta had her hand on his back.
But I guess Prince being sociable doesn't make as exciting news as Prince acting like he owns the place. rolleyes
But always nice to see a picture of Prince. Looking fine as always. Mani looks good, too. smile

I think 'demanded' is just magazine-speak
for 'asked politely'.

I'm surprised he went to this party. I thought he had a big dispute with Clive Davis after the poor promotion of Rave !? Maybe those stories weren't so true ??

Hopefully, it's just speculation.

When I saw him over 3 nights at the 'ONA' shows in London, I didn't hear or witness any of this type of behaviour.

Besides, he was being a good Christian in some respects. He refused several complimentary magnums of house Champagne for both himself and his guests. He sent them back and requested mineral water.

I'd have probably enjoyed a glass or two, but it's all good!
