believe it or not, i actually had a point to make before i started going off on beverages. like i said earlier, i can see this being a real bend in prince's career, and if he makes the right decisions and fights his battles wisely, i can see his reputation really shooting out of orbit as an elderstatesman of popular music. OR, it could be a huge mess resulting in bitter feelings for everyone involved. not that such a thing could ever happen with a sweetiepuss like prince.

I haven't really been down with this whole LV thing, but I will admit I was a little There's only one more thing I'm dying to know...where's Graycap? (^sorry, I'm bad, I know...) The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

I know, right? Obviously Prince does not know about the wonderful prizes that can be 'purchased' with "my Coke rewards." lol. The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. Because people don't fly to Vegas with the intent on JUST going to the shows...Most of the time, such show tickets are brought by folks who happen to be there for the gambling...In other word, they are of the walk-up gate variety...People go out there to gamble, first and foremost...The shows and the club scene is icing on the cake...That's why Las Vegas shows tend to do pretty well money wise...Tourists are always looking for something else to do...

Yeah, you're right. I forget that because I'm so not like that....I don't really like gambling (probably 'cause I feel like I should use my money for other things) so for me the only reason to go to Vegas would be to see a Prince concert; but even for that it's really too far/too expensive for me. Ahh well, c'est la vie. It's not the first concert I've missed, it won't be the last. The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. I'm going as Holly Golighty (Audrey Hepburn's character from Breakfast at Tiffany's). I've worn it before when I lived in Chicago and in 2003 in NY. It's a pretty good costume if I do say so myself; people always stop me & ask to take my pic when I wear it. The only thing is last year that Ann Curry woman was dressed up as Holly on that morning news show--so they might think I'm copying her I gotta figure out what time the contest starts though. And my co-worker assured me that I do not have to attend the show taping; which is good b/c I can't stand Regis or Kelly! The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. sosgemini said: psychodelicide said: funny you thought that cause i was thinking of someone like ani difranco... Why does everyone assume the artists currently appearing on the 3121 website will be the only artists playing for the entire length of the arrangement? Those may be the only ones they have pre-launch commitments from. Once things are up and running and word goes around, who knows what other acts may sign up to play. I think it's a little early to bitch about who won't be playing there.
