Look at his line up for the Celebrations: mainly R&B, funk and neo-soul. It's his main genre and I don't think people should complain about that. I keep telling folks that this is not about the fanbase. Harrah's entertainment is not overly concerned about what fams want because we are NOT the target demographic. He's booking shows for Vegas tourists and this is one hell of a bunch he put together.

The man has been recording and on the road touring nearly every year for the better part of 30 years. He's more than entitled to pursue something without the desires of fams uppermost in his mind. He gets a nice piece of change and a cool penthouse. He gets to perform when he feels like it and has a great lineup of talent for other shows that he himself can enjoy. All without the expense and exhaustion of touring. Why wouldn't he go for it for a few months?

And if the rumors are true he'll even have a restaurant on site with the kind of food he likes to eat!

Vegas will never be the same...just wait and see. I betcha he's got something else up his sleeve too. All the networking is a means to and end, watch what I tell ya!

2) When he introduces new artists to his fans, they don't question

3) They don't ask nosy ass questions about Prince's privacy, personal life

4) They don't post pictures of females stating what shade she should be
for Prince to date; whomever he chooses is his perogative

5) They don't assume or lie that Prince is White or half of whatever to make
oneself (the fan) feel "safe" that it is ok to drool over a Black Man whose
not too dark for their taste, and when they talk to their friends about
Prince, they don’t lie and say “Oh no Bob and Megan ,no need to panic,
it’s ok, because I heard he’s got Italian in him and he has slept with
some white girls in the past, so that makes him cool with us”.

6) They don't have fits, panic attacks, wild out, faint, have emotional
breakdowns on the forums, and start to take valium and see a psychiatrist
(especially the female fans) because Prince performs and introduces a
female artist of a darker hue to his fans.

7) A true fan loves Prince for the musical genius that he is and knows that he can’t please all of his fans all of the time, as he’s human and errs like the rest of us. True fans don’t knock him down when things may not seem to be going right in his life. They respect his privacy and show support by appreciating the multitude of music he has given us over the years, knowing that he is a major influence on many established and new artists, and continues to prove that he is a necessary force in the music industry. Enough said.
