wondering if you know if there are any recent unreleased songs floating around that you are aware of. Looks like P has much fewer leaks these days than before - I am really not aware of any material that did not make it to the albums Musicology and 3121 that is available "in the usual sources" (but hey, I am not tha much of a fanatic anymore...)

Anyone in the know - what songs did he make that were great and not officially available.

Don't think there's been any leaked unreleased studio material since around 1996 in fact. Guess Prince has stopped giving friends and colleagues tapes to go home and listen to!

Good question... I'd never really thought about it. Closest thing I have is the acoustic version of Black Sweat with alternate lyrics from one of his live shows....

Prince recorded a song this year called "Feel Better, Feel Great, Feel Wonderful" and a sample of it was featured on the NPGMC.

Well there is the unreleased Tamar album which probablyt means there will be 12 tracks floating around somewhere.
I also read an early track listing of 3121 with a song called 'I Want To All Night'. Some fams say that this referred to Incense and Candles but who knows?

"Panamaniac" (feat. Liza Hernandez), "Sunday In The Park" and "Holla & Shout" (from Támar's aborted album) are circulating. Also the "Versace Mix" used at the fashion show is circulating (a medley containining new studio versions of "Black Sweat", "Kiss" and "Shhh" among others). And there's also the two live tracks that were streamed at NPGMC, but not technically released. So in that sense, this has been one of the "better" years in terms of unreleased tracks! (not that that's a good thing though...).

Having said that Feel Better, Feel Good, Feel Wonderful is also circulating... I LOVE this clip and can't wait to hear the whole song

In the days before SNL, Prince was rumored to play two new tracks, Fury and Vibe. As we all know, Fury was performed and later released on 3121. Since this was the first mention of the track, I took the source to be reliable, and I think there was a 3121 outtake called Vibe, which we have not heard.

Still, goes to show there no new studio boots, technically, if you consider a studio boot a non-live, not-released through official sources new song. Anything recorded from a live show doesn't count, the Versace Mix was shown on TV so technically released to the airwaves, as too were the Feel Good demo, the 2 live tracks on NPGMC, okay they weren't available for proper download but still released officially to the airwaves to be heard. I think in total 3 Tamar tracks were put up officially on her MySite site for listening purposes, Sunday In The Park, Holla & Shout, and All I Want Is U.

Vibe may have been a new song or it may have been one of the other 3121 songs mistitled, as even when the listening parties were being held the names of the individual songs were not given out which is why there were several incorrect tracklists floating about.
