glad they "were not" singles As a takeoff from the other thread, sometimes the deep album cut is better than a single. Sometimes a DJ in the old days and even now on certain stations will play the deep cut rathwer then the single making it a culture hit so to speak. Hell, Stairway To Heaven was never a single. On purpose. These are a few of the songs that are a "hit" that are not singles but almost could have been but we are glad they weren't.
Dorothy Parker Adore Computer Blue Beautiful Ones Joy In Repetition It seems like if they had been singles then they would have been "cheapened" A cheapened song because it was a single and received no respect: IIWYG Should have remained an album cut only. aor edit. Good call on If I Was Your Girlfriend. Also, you could probably add Head to the list.

on the other hand, if computer blue would have been a single, we would have gottan an extended version on 12" which even might have been on Ultimate so we would have it in cd quality. now that would be.....

Though America was 20 some minutes long extended I feel that CB would not have been released in its full 12 minute glory. I dont know why but it's a gut feeling. "when Im in those arms of yours I'm so gone"-With U/Janet
