Many of you are obviously of the opinion that Prince is a terrible rapper. To me he sounds perfectly fine when he's doing that so I would appreciate it if you could tell me what exactly it is that is so bad with his rapping.

I love it when he raps!

I like his rap in "Race." Otherwise, it wasn't really his genre and sometimes had some cringe-worhty moments.. Uh..."My Name is Prince"...

But now that rap has gotten so broad and mainstream and all that, less "hard" styles of rap are not laughable, like they used to be. Back in the day, though, in the 90s when it was all gansta rap, homeboy came of whack. Hence, Jamie Foxx's spoofs..

I'm just saying...

he's fine. seems to do better than others he has rapping with him.

I find that Prince is never BAD at anything he does, but I'd rather hear him sing.

I think Prince is good at his own kind of rap. He isn't trying to sound gangsta imho... It's more like 'talking in rhytm' and sometimes it's quite melodic.

Dead On It is my shit but I cringe with his "rapping" Especially on Get Off. Get off gets Turned off.

In my opinion Prince is a very good rapper. He's not understood bcuz he raps in a different way of common rappers... I like when he raps... Prince voice is really soothing

he uses way too much tape & always put the bows on crooked.

Prince is a pretty decent rapper!! For a guy doing it once and awhile he aint bad

lol thats true- not alot of rappers can sing- but PRINCE def. does both very very well. i like it when he raps. he does do better when there are other singers with him though, but just the same, he a good rapper.
