goodness imagine how much crap didnt make it into purple rain!? i just bought "dont be a menace to south central" by waynes bros on DVD. that shit like 9 hrs of extra footage if a movie like that can have it WHY cant purple rain?

I have that same book and I have always asked the same thing...where is it? There is another seen of Morris and Appolonia running through a yard as Jerome was laughing. Don't forget about the fight at A6 rehearsal...

i read that the reason the double dvd of purple rain didn't have any deleted seens is because it was made in a day and time that they didn't keep the deleted stuff lying around collecting dust. they just didnt save the stuff back then.
if you read the script, there is alot of stuff that was cut, that i wish was in the movie

This looks like a clip from the deleted argument scene in the woods. In the script, this scene happens right before the second love scene. Very cool picture though.

The trailer shows a few..

You can see in the montage that prince was going to allow the train to hit him.. plus he was unshaven in one scene.

I have the Purple Rain two disk dvd, and there's some footage in their that's not in the movie. This pic looks like one that got cut, it would of been cool to see uncut, and left out clips but just a remastered dvd is what I got. Still love it though.

I noticed something on the Purple Rain Trailer (I just have the regular PR DVD) and there is one part where it looks like Apple is is a barn--I know there's a scene that involves them making love in a barn--and I never saw that particular shot in the film. Was that a deleted scene?

If I remember right, they chucked all the footage not used. I think that when they cut the film, hopes were not really in Prince's favour and not much of the extra material survived.
