List all of the artists Prince has failed...

Okay, I'll start with these...

Tamar (record deal?)
Carmen (kept her to himself and then?)
Rosie (paisley record?)
Margie (paisley record?)
Ingrid (dropped and left to Levi)
Dez (record deal?)
Milennia (record deal?)

No matter the excuses, it's true. Your turn...

Prince can't fail anybody, they failed themselves, he can open up the door they have to get it themselves.

You could change the title of this thread to "List all the artists who wouldnt have got remotely close to a record deal if they hadnt been associated with Prince " also biggrin . Prince is no miracle worker , even if he had shown 100% commitment to promoting these artists over a long period of time theres still no guarantee theyd have had any sustained success .

Prince seems to lose interest in side projects pretty quick. That's just the way he is man.

Exactly Prince has to learn one day that u cant keep pushing shit uphill forever.
Look at the ones who were at least Moderately successful.
The Time, 3 gold albums and one platinum playa, two moderately ok successful solo careers in Morris and Jesse.
Sheila E, ok she s a cute guy but hell her talent in percusiion was mind blowing, successful career with and without Prince.

And then the mega successful ones who got away
Jam and Lewis (no comment)
Alexander O Neill (Refused to sing in the Time when it was formed in 1980)
Tevin Campbell, huge solo career until he was caught in a bog.

And talented ones whose careers bombed after their Prince stint

Andre (3 flop albums but then teamed up with moderately successful Shalamar singer Jody Watley). Ironically Prince was jealous and drew Micki Free into his fold for a while.
WendynLisa, all their solo albums flopped.

Cat (I am energy bombed), although she wasnt very talented.

I think those other people mentioned were chosen for their looks rather than talent, and thats the problem

Why bother making a list? It's really simple. Prince fails any artist associated with him in any way, and any artist that has ever spent more then 3 minutes in the same room as him.

That's so much quicker then trying to compose a list.

Check the box marked "All the Above" and get on with life.
News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so.
You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop.

One of his earliest proteges is Sue Ann Carwell, who was working with Prince in 1979 for a planned album that never materialized. One of the songs recorded for her album include "Wouldn't You Love To Love Me".In the late 80s,I read an interview with her and she seemed quite bitter at the way things turned out.According to her,the lingerie look of Vanity 6 was entirely her idea. She also claims that his other female proteges got songs that were originally intended for her.

Another singer you can add to the list is Tyler Collins. She's that sexy female singer who had that hit "Girl Night Out" in 1990.She signed to Paisley Park Records in 1992,began work on an album, but the label shut down in 1994 before her album could make it's way into stores.

i honestly never liked tamar- she seems so clingy- like she wouldn't be able to anything career-wise by herself. i mean- Prince can only do so much- she has to pick up where he stops and continue her career.
