This is a challenge/dare for Prince.... ...I presume he has this site monitored...
One of the foremost jazz nightspots in London, The Vortex, is in real danger of closing. They are playing off charity at the moment and cannot find the cash to pay the bands that play there...fortunately a lot of bands and artists are playing there for the love of the club. 'kay, well you guessed it. My challenge/dare is for Prince to contact the club and annouce a week long residence there. Play your Montreal Stuff, gather the Fine Liner's around you, perhaps wax on the majesty that was Madhouse...whatever, please help save/continue one of the most cherished jazz venues in the British Isles.
