Prince in the ballance.

Does it ever seem to you that Prince was set too high upon a pedistal, by himself and through others, and he seems as though he's just trying to keep his ballance?

Brother seems to be afraid of hights.

Thou sometimes he's wishing not to be upon that pedistal while other times he's looking around and enjoying the feeling of being high.

Phyical hights can kill the body upon a fall and the soul from the loss of being grounded.

Prince to me sometimes seems scared and unwilling to reach down from that human perch.

I thought I seen him stacking the blocks however, so why would he act like he wants down?

Is Prince on a pedistal too high to not be ballanced and is a fall eminite?

Did Prince stack or did others stack the blocks under said pedistal?

Do you put Prince on a pedistal? Do you stack the blocks that becomes the wall?
News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so.

We've ALL put him on a pedestal. Then, reality sets in, and he's human just like the rest of us. He's an individual, independant man who contributes significantly to our musical culture. Whatever balance he achieves in his personal and professional life is his choosing and our speculation.

There should be a comma after "no".

Uh, since the conjunction 'and' was used to join two things that weren't complete sentences, a comma wasn't necessary.

imagine being him being looked up to when u'd rather be looked at eye to eye. do u realise the tremendous burden placed on another when u put them up on a pedastal? ur giving them a set of expectations to live 'up' to. we r all created equal and this pedestal/tall-poppy syndrome is entirely an illusion.

sexxydancer how can anyone truly relate unless we're talking eye to eye and heart to heart at the same level darlin.

I agree. I look up to Prince's music abilities, but Prince is a man. I love the man 'cuz the man is who he is. The music does not make him. Ya' lots, Prince!!!

why even do that? u r just as good at something as Prince is at music. everyone has their own unique version of genius. who knows, one day u might create a garden that looks like all of Prince's songs put together. now wouldnt that be something. x

I can understand needing to reach each person eye to eye and heart to heart individually. I'm a bartender: I do it daily (at least I hope I do anyway), and changing people's lives for the better is one of the reasons I love my job so mcuh.

But if I had as unique and powerful message to deliver, such as some of the ones Prince has shared with us, and I was born to communicate it to the people on this planet, am I more effective dealing with them one on one? Or from a pedestal, where I can reach so many more at once?

Life is all about the time we are given, the message we are born to deliver, and our ability to recognize the strength or value of our ability to deliver that message.

I'm most effective at delivering mine; either in print, or oddly enough, from a place quite different from written text--I'm quite adept at dealing with people from behind a bar.

Prince, you've shown your ability to communicate en masse from atop a pedestal. That's something I could never do.

Please don't ever hesitate or shy away from using such a powerful ability. It's your unique gift, and it's a wonderful contribution.

Hi robertes, apologies, didnt mean one to one when i said eye to eye and heart to heart, ironically, a CD and a listener is a one on one experience...

talking more about the perspective than anyone is higher up than the next person, there's only differences in how much we individually remember about our own unique majesty. imo.

yes its wonderful Prince could get 'his' message/s to many, but at the same time, the pedestal he was 'placed on' can tend to create an 'i'm better than you' illusion in other peoples minds... not saying that was his intention, just an unfortunate outcome of fame.

have spoken to many a bartender, great that u do it so well, one of the sincerest forms of eye to eye communication in my experience. i enjoy the one to one relationship i have with an 'artist' when i listen to music, but i dont necessarily look 'up' to them, in so much as i respect their work and am grateful to receive it.

Okay, not to beat a dead horse (all the while using magical abilities to mystically shield the very act of beating the dead horse, right there in front of the gathering throng, although none of them could see it.....).

I understand that the cd's, the songs, and the videos communicate with people one on one, or 'eye to eye', or 'heart to heart for that matter. However, I, a lowly bartender can only reach a limited amount of people a day.

From a pedestal, I could reach so many more. Prince can reach so many more. They may not get you 100% now, but they will get you. In time. And how does one know that the act of climbing aboard that pedestal has given anyone the idea that Prince is better than others. Is there any proof in this? Or is it simply fear keeping him from climbing on top of the pedestal? If so, what is its source?

I do look up to Prince. He's one of my heroes, a role model. Of course I don't know him personally, only what I've observed in his adventures in the media. I love how he seems to be able to handle anything life throws at him, and come out on, um..ahem... top. Now, If I met him and he were a jerk, I'd get over it quickly. I know entertainers have one personality (sometimes more!) that they use to promote themselves, and that they are (hopefully) someone entirely different behind the scenes. If he were a prick, that would help me understand more fully what he is like. It would be a mark against his character, but nothing could ever makee me change the respect I have for his work and how much his contibutions have added plesure, acceptance, and insight into my own life.

"Like a bird flying over the hilltops, love is like the sky you know, it never stops. When the abundance of the heart and mouth speaks, love is whatever, whatever you want it to be."

Peaceandlove,
