Studio or the live 'ball boot?


I prefer the studio one. The other one goes on for too long and u can hear the words more clearly then on the studio one. Production coulda kicked a little more though, but i still prefer it.

My personal favorite version is the one from the "Beautiful Experience : A Night in Erotic City" TV special from February 1994.

I consider it the "original" version because that´s the one I heard first and every other version, live or studio, pales in comparison....Prince was definitely wild and on fire that night.

Same goes for Shhhh and especially Now...both sound so much tighter there.

He should´ve released that whole thing as a DVD.
I also love the whole scenario and storyline...just goes to show you how ahead of his time he was back then, the whole internet/ loneliness / downloadable songs storyline, the different "experiences" etc.

Very futuristic for 1994. People often forget that.

Anyway, that version of Days Of Wild is the best for me.

Notice how Prince´s pants get torn during the performance...it´s the right leg if I recall correctly.

Actually, the only version of "Days of Wild" I don't like is the original studio version. It is best enjoyed live. The ONA Montreal single (Long version, of course) is probably the closest thing 2 a studio version of that song I've liked.

Hhhhmmmmm, that song does not touch me at all, any version. Strange, most songs that were "funk" songs from that area don't do much for me, also Acknowledge Me.

i like the studio version but i hate that the "ahh ahh ahhs" are buried so low in the mix. i love the version from "The Dawn" boot which is a hybrid of the 'ball' version with a kick-ass guitar solo from the first NPG Ahdio show.

altho the beatiful exp one is pretty amazing. also, the one miami '95 too. that's a tuff one.
