In Minneapolis... I'm going to Minneapolis with my schools DECA. What all should I do while I'm there? I know I'm gonna go see First Avenue. We get to go wherever we want during our free time so I can do a lot of stuff. "There's only three things for sure in life. Btw, the Hard Rock is across the street from First Avenue, not at the MOA The display is on the 2nd floor, and if you don't want to eat at the Cafe you can use the entrance to the mall and go up to the 2nd floor and see it from there..... Also if you happen to be there on a Thursday night, you can go to
Trocaderos downtown and catch "The Truth" featuring Kirk Johnson, Kip Blackshire, Chance Howard, Jellybean Johnson, Odell, St. Paul Peterson & Eric Leads....all previous members of Prince's bands or entourage. I haven't been there myself yet, but look forward to seeing them sometime. They may skip a Thursday now and then, so you might wanna find out if they're playing first before you make a special trip over there....

Walker Art Center: http://www.walkerart.org/index.wac
Minneapolis Institute of Arts: http://www.artsmia.org/ (I art, so I always suggest museum visits! ) The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

If you're interested in more Prince items, another place to hit is the
Minnesota Historical Society across the river in St. Paul, but only if you really do have a lot of time... They have his Purple Rain suit on display there, along with several smaller miscellaneous items....it does cost 7 or 8 bucks to get in I believe, but that includes entrance to the whole museum if you like that sort of thing... It is rather hard to find as a visitor however, so here's the website if you have any interest.... http://www.mnhs.org/index.htm
