Is there any track Prince plucked the hell out of the bass?

It seems other people mostly laid down the bass; andre, sonny, mark, rhonda; does prince suck, why do other people always do it for him?

Wasn't that P on the bass for "Superhero" by NPG. The extended version has some funk bass in it.

Ah, Prince plays bass on the majority of his work. Ironically he very seldom lets people play bass on his albums.

why though, is it that prince on bass doesn't sound like bass? he's raw, no doubt, but most of the time you can't tell he's playin the shit out of it.

I was just about to say that one. Days of Wild is another good example.

I think you're right. Songs on Lovesexy that I thought were band efforts I now think were mostly Prince.

Like Alphabet Street. There's no live drums, so Sheila's not on it. I think Prince does the bass, too.

And if you went to the Jam Of The Year shows, you'd know how great he is on bass due to the 20 minute version of Face Down.

Which part? The 1st half of hte song (the single) has no bass. Later in the 12" it sounds like bass saxiphone or something like that.

Sheila did the drums and persussion on alphabet st and most of lovesexy; it says so in the album credits.

Prince didn't play bass on alphabet st!

- I had an Uptown magazine that had an article about the Black Album. They said that Prince played on ´2Nigs´ and, correct me if I am wrong, on ´Le Grind´ also...

I never saw the Chris Rock version, but this one essentially evolved into a huge bass jam.

No, he does not suck. Maybe he just prefers playing guitar when he is playing live. I mean you can do lots of flashy stuff with the guitar and still hold your singing together. It's much harder to look flashy, sing and hold down the bottom with bass smile
It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

the only time I've seen him use a pick was in the Rave Unto the Year 2000 DVD, during the George Clinton bonus part.
