Which part? The 1st half of hte song (the single) has no bass. Later in the 12" it sounds like bass saxiphone or something like that. Without busting it out and giving you a time reference, it's a decending riff right before the horns come in. Happens twice, in fact. Sorry for the poor description. I saw a hit and run show once where I think he was playing bass. It was during "Come on" (I think) and this girl got on stage and she had booty and would shake it to his bass playing...he would slap his bass and she would respond to him with her booty. It was so cute he looked like he was loving it.  | |

Well, how would you know that the album credits are right in this case? There's NOTHING on Lovesexy that sounds like Sheila on drums, except for maybe 'Dance On'. And that IS Prince on bass on Alphabet St. | |

Stange that they R actually Prince fans... Maybe just lost lambs seeking the truth 2 justify their obsessions... who knows? I know U know what's up though, and it's always refreshing. I suppose that since Prince was a musical pied piper, or, a leader, in an otherwise mostly bland musical era, some people here R, in fact, disgruntled, and even lost... searching 4 anything 2 discredit him, so they can feel better about being lost in the past, and therefore, not being able 2 support the now.
