If Prince released his version of the Time Cd's?

Would you guys be interested in all of the Time cd's if Prince released a remastered set of each with Prince performing his version of each song?

"Cloreen Bacon Skin." Over a simple bass riff, Prince and Morris Day serve up over 15 minutes of incredibly tight funk.

( connection with Tricky , from what i remember )

Interesting question. I had actually ran a thread regarding this, only dealing with should have P let The Time do "International Lover". A song that he originally wrote for The Time's second album. The first Time album is basically P on everything, including vocals. Morris is on drums on most of the cuts and Lisa, Dez and Fink had their hands on tracks as well. Personally, I would love to here the tracks with just P's vocals on it. Especially to the first two albums and the title track to "Ice Cream Castle".

Hell yeah. You can hear him doing the backing vocals on the first two cd's as it is already.

I'll play it first and tell you what it is later.

Honestly, not really.

I'd rather have:
--remastered early Prince albums or
--digital (CD) versions of songs previously unreleased or only available on vinyl (e.g. B-sides) or
--DVDs of concert footage

and a tour.

I had heard of a couple of Time tracks with Prince vocals years ago from a legger, but they never surfaced.

But hell yeh, the first 2 would be excellent to hear with his vocals.

Not sure there'd be much point.... Prince doing his Jamie Starr voice isn't that far from Morris' version really.

Hell no. Only Morris can sing and clown around on those songs and not sound stupid. Hell, just look at he movie "Under The Cherry Moon", Prince made a complete fool of himself trying to be Morris.

Just guessing dear, don't get your panties in a twist.

Given that the material was recorded with the band in mind, I was just presuming that Prince didn't put particularly that much effort into it, since the guide vocal would be replaced, and thinking of things like Cloreen Baconskin and Chocolate, it seems like Prince mighta used this vocal style. smile
