Ultimate on UK Album Chart I haven't seen anything about this - Ultimate went in at number 24, it is now at 29, in the UK charts. Don't know if that's good or not, I suppose it is okay for a 2CD hits collection but it could have done better.
UDATE: now down to 43 in its third week. [Edited 9/12/06 11:38am]

The album chart is more credible than the single chart in the UK. No promotion of any sort in the UK. A 2CD collection. I'd say that was pretty damn impressive. Makes you think what could have been "London, i've adopted a name that has no pronounciation.... is that cool with you?"
"YEAH!!!" "Yeah, well then fuck those other fools!"

Actually I think that's pretty impressive considering there's no current Prince
activity... no tour, no single releases, no public appearances etc.

I don't follow the music press these days, don't know if there were adverts in there for it or not. People always talk about 'promotion' but I sometimes wonder what they expect, bar Prince doing appearances, touring or appearing on tv, which he's hardly like to do with a Warner's release, he barely does it with his own albums! A 2CD collection but only priced at under a tenner at my local supermarket and Amazon has it at £8.99, a bargain!
