Coming back to 3121 after 3 months and I love it!! I actually liked the album when it came out but would maybe rate it around the 6.5/10 mark. On letting it settle then coming back I'd have to put it at around 7.5 which considering I gave TGE the same means IMO its a very good album. I Love Lolita and feel that Love is as strong a song as he has put out since Gett Off. Incense and Candles surprised me in that I really didnt like this track originally but now would definately not skip it. Only Satisfied hasn't got me hooked, otherwise I'm glad I took the break anyone else find the same?

I do. 3121 is a very well made album. It's fun, soothing, funky, soulful and a celebration of life and God. I still love it and even more so now.

It's a great album isn't it? I need to pop it in right now! Don't U wanna Come? I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

One of the year's best releases in my book, even though it hasn't done that well commercially. Way better than Musicology! Check me out and add me on:

It's a good record, for sure, but it feels kinda "empty" to me after having lived with it for all this time - Reminds me of Weezer's Green album in that respect. All of the parts are there to make a fun album, but the intangible is missing.

I still enjoy 3121. Was listening to it today. Whilst I'm over Black Sweat and the title track, songs like Love and The Word will be listened to for a very long time to come. And Lolita stays in your head for the rest of the day once you've heard it.
