the Black Album had no alternate extended versions and no hits. why would anything from it be on this set? and as Dayspring said in regards to TGE, the Black Album was part of a seperate agreement for release and it isn't wholly owned by Warner Bros.

There was a 12" of SuperCalifragisexy.

That was a bootleg, not an official release.

My twocents

I purchased the Ultimate at BestBuy here in Chicago where it cost $22.99. No one could tell me why it was six dollars more than the online price. Like the sucker I am, I purchased it anyway. I do feel that Warner could have put together a better compilation. They are clearly going to milk the Prince cow for all they can get. Like Bob Marley and other greats, 30 years from now Warner will be releasing comps with "previously unreleased" tracks on them.

Since I failed to purchase some of the 12 inches when they were intially released, I was excited to hear the ones I didn't own. I am thrilled to have the film version of "Let's Go Crazy" because I have always wanted that version. Also, I can't stop listening to the remix of "Little Red Corvette." I already had most of the others (Kiss, Thieves, She's Always...) whether officially or bootlegged, and anything else besides "Pop Life" and "Let's Work" wasn't much to write home about. The remix of "Cream" is a waste of space.

Oh, and disc one is a joke! It's actually an insult.

Another man would have been more kind. But all he did was persecute her with how a 'perfect woman' is suppose to be. Not a very gentle or kind sort. He is cruel. That is one of the first things I noticed about him. He has dealings with God first, before he can deal with anyone else..

true. but none of that has anything to do with a record company's relationship with an artist.

prince isnt desperate for our money. he's desperate for our love. because he doesn't have any for himself deep down.

I've just bought this today, a bargain at £9.79. I'm quite pleased with it but there's a whole load more 12"s they could have stuck on there instead of what's on disc 1.

It's in the top 40 in the big record shops in the UK. I think it was at about 25 in the Virgin chart.

We need to have more LIVE stuff on official CD release. So far all we have is "One Nite Alone" as far as I'm aware(Please correct me if wrong)

What about putting out some of the old Classic tours such as The Parade tour from 86 out on CD. I Know this was televised here in the uk and i did have it for a while until my VCR chewed it up but would it not be good to have something like this on CD.

It seems to be the norm that this sort of stuff is never released until the artist/group die and then record companies cash in.Look what happened to Queen when Freddie Mercury died. All the albums were re-released and countless DVD's were unveiled.

So come on Prince, We need this stuff now not when your wearing a wooden overcoat and playing to the worms. Don't let the record companies take their cut when you gone. DO IT NOW. MORE LIVE STUFF PLEEEEEASE lol razz

I am aware of the above mentioned being available on DVD/VCR but not on CD
What i would like to see is some of the older tours being "officialy" available on CD
If they have been made into CD form please can you let me know where i can lay my hands on copies as i have never seen anything like that in the UK

Many Thanks & Peace
