Satisfied...new released single?

This morning my alarm clock went off and "Satisfied" was playing. My alarm clock is set to play an adult R&B station and I was about to hit snooze, but that song woke me right up! I was a little groggy and thought maybe my husband was playing the song. I was thinking, '...surely, the radio isn't playing this song.' Well after it played, Tom Joyner said something like, "...man, that woman has Prince singing the blues!" Then J. Anthony Brown said, "Divorce will do that to ya playa." The whole morning show joked some more.

Anyhoo, has anyone else heard this on the radio? Is it officially the next single or did the TJMS (it is a nationally syndicated show) just choose to run it?

I heard it today for the first time today on TTJMS. I was cracking up when they were talking about Prince's pending divorce got him singing the blues. Jay Anthony said all he needed was a harmonica. lol

To answer your question, yes, it is a single.

Wow, seem like it took a divorce to get his music some radio play. I'm sure he's happy about that.

Imago

Don't care for the tune.

DOn't like Prince's vocul treatment on it.

It's the most out of place song on the album, moreso than even "Get on the Boat"

Well...why that song? I agree with Imago on this one (see above).

If he would just release "The Dance" I think he could win a ton of people over. Okay, maybe I am a little biased b/c that's my favorite song on the cd. drooling

I'm not a fan of Satisfied and I love, love, love The Dance...but The Dance is not a song that would appeal to the masses. It's not radio-friendly imo.

It's been on the Urban AC chart for a few weeks:

Currently #24. It may go on to be the biggest Urban AC hit from 3121. "Call My Name" topped the Urban AC chart for a few weeks, and was one of the format's biggest hits for 2004.

Anx

i think it's funny that the single released to radio after news of the divorce is a song called "satisfied".

if it's intentional, prince can be such a little bitch. giggle
