Everybody that bashes on Prince music I wanna see u do better . U take yo a** up to the music store buy a keyboard and a guitar and see what the h*ll u come up wit. U do better.

Even if we r his biggest critics we have no right to tell him his music sucks u may not like it. I have heard fans bash since i joined last year. I'm sick of it. As a matter of fact Graffiti Bridge the album and movie was not that bad. Of course it could have been better but name 1 movie that u have never said it could have been better?

actually most of the albums some of ya'll bash I love. Chaos and disorder is a great album, Rainbow children is a great album, I still listen 2 musicology, and 3121 is the best album Prince has come out wit since The gold experience.
and the popular albums i have not listened much i.e. 1999, PR, SOTT, PARADE I just tired from listenin so much.

the problems w/ most of the p fans is that (mainly the older P fans) is that ya'll r used the old school pop and funk and ya'll haven't realized Prince is over that he did it for so long he probably got tired of it he is lookin 4 new things just like u should be.

So this is the opposite thread instead of me bashin on P. I'm bashin on the fans. That is a digrace FANS the most support 2 Prince is bashin that is A shame.

i seriously gotta make a banner that says the following: PRINCE IS NOT YOUR GOTDAMNED DADDY. there's no need to defend the brotha. he's grown. deal.

i'd be a worse fan if i pretended to love every single note of music he released.

IMO, i think what PR is trying to say is that you can dislike something w/o completely bashing it. For example, you can say Chaos and Disorder was poorly done, or his lyrics seem lazy, buy you don't go to call it a piece of shit. Well that's what i think PR is trying to say.....not that it matters or any cares

I'm a fan of most of what prince does musically, even NPS & NEWS to a certain degree. I also don't really think it's fair to criticize based on what you think something SHOULD be rather than what it is. I'm a musician and I'm less openly critical at times because I know how hard it is to create music.

But Prince is a musician, not a film director, and just because I might make a worse movie than that doesn't mean that it's not literally one of the worst films ever made. That's actually quite an achievement in itself!

Your having a moan about the "older" fans too,well when you have spent as much money on Prince as what i have you have every bloody right to moan about him if you feel he isnt giving his all.
But in anycase it is encouraging to see someone so young sticking up for him.

i know someone who isn't a prince fan and doesn't really care for his music a whole lot, but he really likes N*E*W*S* for whatever reason. GO FIGURE!

prince's music is like a rorschach test. we all see something different in it. that's why sites like this are so interesting. we can view things differently through other people's perspectives. if we all had to praise everything, this would be a promotional site, and i'd damn well better be getting paid for that kinda bizness.

Why are some of you having a go at this person for saying how they feel? - I guess they are just fed up of some of the things that get said on here sometimes - instead of joking and taking the piss why not explain your comments to them instead of dissing them???

I agree that we are all entitled to an opinion on here - good or bad but give them a break.....

BTW - I dont love all his music - and FYI some of it is banned form my collection (just wanted to say that)
