The Vultures

Who is he referring to, what does prince mean when he says the vultures, which feature in some of his songs?

they eat flesh - which means they eat away ur illusions about being a body - instead of a spirit

those attached to believing in the 'flesh' and 'the world of men' ( not angels ) - view metaphoric vultures in a negative light

in the world of form - physicality - we tend to wear many masks

the vultures eat these away

they usually eat dead carcasses - which means, when u make a realisation about urself - it renders a previous part of urself 'dead' - the 'vultures' eat away the remaining anti-spiritual debris - from the psyche

i dont know what Prince means by his reference to the word Vultures - but he is a man of the flesh, more than he is of the spirit.

(this is evident in his lifestyle and other ways." your daily life is your religion ")

so i would be inclined to think he refers to vultures being a negative thing... which is erroneous.

seen from a higher perspective - they are part of God's plan to nullify all things false - so that all things True may come to Light.
