I am definitely PRO cuss-words on this basis. P's whole cuss-word boycott has got me bugged. Fear is the mind-killer.

Negativity is indicative opposition or resistance. The negativity of many of the org members is based in our rejection of the mindless posturing of Prince and the sickeningly sappy obsequience of the "fams" who want everything to be positive to the exclusion of nature. Negativity and positivity are two sides of the same coin... throw negativity away and positivity is far less powerful. AND: Sometimes those who scream "Positivity" the loudest are clearly the most negative. While I agree partly ( only in the sense that there is a reason for 'negativity')... you are also talking about a necessary balance... which you think should be present at the org too. Well, I think that if this balance is necessary it would start with the persons posting themselves first. Lately however... I have seen you write a lot more of these so-called 'necesary' negative posts than you used to...in several of them you are 'attacking' others... (all that oceana crap) and i can't recall you doing that so much when you just came here. I truly wonder if you really stand behind all these 'negative' posts... or if you are (again) just joking around with it... 'a bit'... Because when you came here (not even so long ago), you used to come out with either intelligent remarks about interesting topics you know about... or you came with funny and witty remarks on threads that were less serious... I think that was the Icenine that made you respected by a lot here. And you also you used to indicate that your remarks were meant to be funny in some way when they were perceived as not by some... Now I don't see you doing that anymore. Lately I just see you 'talking loud and saying nothing'... if you know what I mean... I am guessing that the 'balance' you are talking about has been lost in your own pattern of posts lately ... and I hope you can bring it back. You are not my "friend" because you threaten my security.

positive guts! I have negative thoughts, but I prefer not to voice them... I usually really think before I post and I try to be diplomatic so as not to offend anyone though I stand firm for what I believe. When I disagree with what someone posts enough, then I reply with conviction, just not with malice. I do not think this is a weakness, but rather a strength. Even when I am cursed, maligned, falsely accused, I am unscathed...because everyone is entitled to his own opinion and most of the time, that is all it is...one man's opinion. I also realize that some of the threads are just the result of playful people having fun. Different strokes for different folks. Yes I can be negative...but it seems that negativity breeds a sour disposition...leading to a sour stomach. It boils down to ME taking care of ME. 8) - So...how's everybody doing?

Boredom leads me to not posting, while it leads you to post with a different approach. that's okay, but yeah bring up some more of those positive witty intelligent remarks and debates you are capable of Ice! that would be balance indeed. you're right..there is no excuse for being downright rude...I love the humor and wits of the people who post here, but recently there have been a wave of mindless, nasty remarks about others that made me think over some things about the org for a minute. Like one orger stated, the humor on this site is brilliant, I love coming to this site at times and reading posts and seeing what people opinions are, but recently there was a wave of rude remarks I thought that got out of hand. It seems like it's cooling down now, or at least I hope so.

What I don't like is the divide that seems to have been implied recently... the US vs THEM mentality... The idea that there are a group of people ruining the site, and a group of purists who only have the org's best interests at heart.. that just isn't the case... things aren't black and white like that... And I don't think ANYONE who posts here wants the org shut down... surely we have that in common?
I don't like the labelling of people... the idea that one person is absolutely positive and another is absolutely negative... that's just a fallacy..., the two aren't mutually exclusive. All of us are capable of so much more than just one way of thinking or contributing here... We can all be too quick to judge one another or too confident about our preconceived notions or beliefs about one another... We have a rich diversity of opinions as a group and within ourselves... we shouldn't expect one another to behave and think permanently one way or another... we're a lot more complex than that... Forget the negative people vs the positive people mantra... it's senseless and futile... we should allow one another a greater scope of being, we don't fit in nice little boxes and categories as much as some might like to think we do. --»You're my favourite moment, you're my Saturday...
