Musicology on all levels is far superior to the 3121 era.

The music on 3121 is light years ahead of (and better) than ANY track on Musicology. What I see as the problem is that Prince was more focused on promoting Musicology than he is now. The Tamar project has been a MAJOR distraction and disruptive influence.

Prefer 3121 cd better, however the Musicology "era" was tons better:

I like Musicology but I LOVE 3121. I just wish something big would happen with the 3121 project cause it deserves all the promotion if not more of it than Musicology did. But I miss how much fun Musicology was cause 2004 was an incredible year.

Musicology = VERY good CD

3121 = Classic CD...that's right...Top 5 Prince...you will find, in time.

Like them both but I find 3121 is a warmer cd - Musicology has a chill to it.
I think it starts with 3121 opening the cd - its fun & kinda loopy which sets the mood for the whole cd.

I like Musicology still. I do think 3121 is the better out of the 2. Both of them are good cds. Musicology was pushed more because of his tour. 3121 would have been bigger if Prince did do much more promotion for it. As for touring now i do not see it. Playing the small venues & charging $300 looks like all he is going to be doing the rest of the year.

I love ALL of Prince's music equally! Asking me 2 pick one over the other is just impossible 2 do!

hmm, considering the "era" of both albums, i don't know but
as far as the cd's go, i still prefer "3121" because it has
more songs with lasting power than musicology.
