At a Paisley show one time 2 or 3 years ago Prince came out and picked up his guitar and was playing it like he was just pissed off. It reminded me of the scene in Purple Rain after learning that W & L hadn't showed up and he slams his foot down on his guitar pedal. Anyhow he plays this ANGRY solo for like 10 minutes and then walks over to the keys.

Almost instantly his mood changes and the man looks like he is going to cry. He is playing some heartfelt slow melody and I had never seen a sadder look on his face. He plays this melody on the piano for another 10 minutes all the while looking like he was going to break down and cry.

After he was done on the keys it was like he was all better and the show went on as normal.


Me and a couple of my friends were in the front row and we still talk about it to this day because it was insane how much emotion he was showing on the stage.

At the time I assumed that he had a fight with Mani (or some other woman) literally seconds before he came on stage.

It was kind of cool watching him show his emotions through his music.

Really, sometimes prince seems to act the star and piss off everybody who tries to interview him. But I don't know him personally so I can't say he pissed ME off.

He pissed me off in 97 when he cancelled 1 of his shows but eye later 4gave him cause he rescheduled the show, u know eye cant stay mad at him 4 long!

i remember that night too, lovemachine. It was even more so interesting when he got over it quickly.
