Did any ladies date a guy who dressed like Prince? I was watching some videos of Paisley Park Artists on youtube. I saw Mazariti and thought man were ladies diggin these cats back in the day? 100 MPH is funky no doubt but the way they looked. Then I wondered how many women dated a guy that dressed like Prince back then? I am sure that cats were walking around with the 'drag' style. Then watching 'Dave Chapelle show' Charlie Murphy said that the fellow who looked the most like women got the most women. So to the ladies of 80's is this true? [Edited 7/23/06 12:29pm]

Hmmm well I guess I can't awnser this cuz I wouldn't qualify as a "lady of the '80s" but I've always loved men with long hair.

Well my first boyfriend didn;t look anything like him nothing at all. But they had the same manerisms and similar personality. Remember the bit in purple rain when he see apollonia for the first time and stands behind her. Well my x did that too me. However 2 years before Purple Rain came out. He just had a similar way somehow. Business Manager to Cat Glover.

I was asked out by a wanna-be-Prince. I said no and not because he looked absolutely ridiculous!

I kind of missed that whole 80's thing, cause I was born in 86, but I kind of wish I could find a guy like that. I miss the androgynous thing that was cool back in the 80's. Plus if I could find a guy that could do my eyeshadow like Prince's in Purple Rain, I'd marry him! I love a Man who:

One of my sister friends friend who once hung out with Morris Day.She brought this guy dressed up & all he even kinda looked like Prince at a birthday party i was at late 80's. He had the ruffle shirt, button pants, & a purple trenchcoat on. I remember everyone joking on him saying good luck on the next tour.

There was a guy in my class in eight grade that dressed like Prince. I'm sad to say we kicked his ass a couple of times for being a weird queer. I feel bad now, but we were stupid.

ummm well we did not date but I did know one guy back in like 1985 that could easily have been Prince's twin. Need I say he was hot?

Um, no. I like my men butch -- hardcore butch.
(but I really wasn't old enough to date until the late 80s)

I had a friend who dressed just like him, I brought him around my mom & sisters they were like what's Prince doing here. He had the lepord skin leotard that he wore out to the club with cow-boy boots. He had the Purple Rain error hair and makeup, a chest full of curly black hair just like Prince. I can't remember if I ever asked him if he was a Prince fan. 2FINDLUV

Just watching the videos I was thinkin "did women really go after guys like this in real life?" Did they help out witht the eye shadow? Not knocking them cause I dig the sounds. But man Prince and his crew looked a might bit crazy,

I never dated a guy that dressed like him. But let me tell you I knew plenty of them. They thought that they were so hot. All I kept thinking was there is only one person that can pull off that look and that is Prince himself. They looked crazy!!!! DIRTYMIND
