Make up the definitive rock cd....

...only using releases from "the wilderness years"

Interactive (1993)
Endorphinmachine
Get Wild
Now
Rock And Roll Is Alive! (And It Lives in Minneapolis)
Chaos And Disorder
I Like It There
Same December
Right The Wrong
Zannalee
Acknowledge Me (1993)
Hide The Bone (1995)
Da Bang (1995)
Calhoun Square (1993)
What's My Name (1993)
Days Of Wild {live} (1995)
Poom Poom (1996)
Baby Knows

NB: Tracks listed chronoligically as per official release dates (Interactive and Endorphinmachine were included on the Interactive CD-rom prior to the release of Exodus or The Gold Experience).

Any other suggestions?

I know it has an electronic feel but Loose! rocks in its own way and deserves to be on there, there's some cool guitar on that song. Papa also could get in there.

nice suggestions, Sarah is a bit rock-lite so I'll go for one of those 3 as a replacement. I think the beat on 319 is a bit slow. Loose is good but a bit electronic as you said. I'll give Papa another listen, the ending rocks but mabye Loose would fit in better.

Nice selection, almost a best of prince you'd only need to replace papa and empty room.

I figure I'll make mine exclusively prince and replace Sarah with Chaos and Disorder. Not my favourite track but it should run well with the rest and I don't want to include any slower tracks like the Ride or Shhh so I can use it as my running soundtrack.

Lets call it the definitive LOUD album then. It could be Disc 2 of a 2 disc Best of prince set with all the hits and the best of the ballads on Disc 1.

Such as;

Love Sign
The Most Beautiful Girl In The World
Eye Hate U
Shhh
Dolphin
Gold
Dinner With Delores
Into The Light
I Will
Betcha By Golly Wow!
The Holy River
Ripopgodazippa (1994)
Come On
The One
Wasted Kisses
I Love U, But I Dont Trust U Anymore

In every top albums ever list I see the top "Rock" album always seems to be Back in Black by AC/DC. This just sounds like noise to me I'm afraid. I prefer the more "melodic" AC/DC stuff and reckon Who Made Who is easily their best album albiet a sort of best of, with special mention to Ride on which isn't rocky at all. Actually For Those About to Rock is far superior to Back in Black IMO but doesn't get on the best album ever lists cos it didn't sell so many copies. I'd probabally be damned to hell for saying I prefer Brian Johnson to Bon Scott.
