Years ago when people found out that you were a Prince fan they would be like WTF? Now it seems that it's cool to be a fan of the Purple One. Does it seem that way to you?

Also, more and more "popular" singers, performers and musicians are giving him props--they're fans are likely to pay some attention to this.

Finally, Prince is reaching the age where it is just "polite" to not diss him, like Bowie did or the Rolling Stones. There's a point in alot of their career where you kind of give them props instead of hating on them.

Actually, though, when I was getting all excited to go to GMA recently, I was told by a "friend" and a coworker (who never met each other) that I need to grow up and get over this "thing" I have with Prince. My so-called friend told me I am a "grown-ass woman" and it's okay to like his music, but the fan thing was played out. I asked him if he gave the same speech to "grown-ass men" (or women) who are sports fans.

I don't give a shit if it's cool to like Prince or not. I like what I like and most people who would deem it uncool are people who don't know the first goddamn thing about him.

lol,im uncool~at my age 2 be a prince fan... 2 the older people im a naive kid whos not a true fan and 2 people my age im a weirdo who likes that purple rain dude from the 80's,lol~
