Yes-it has gotten better with time. I now love it .

I still love this album and it's great to still be able to say that after a few months. Even when there are days that I don't listen to 3121, when I put it back on, I love it all over again.

Yep, it started off sounding REAL good to me and has only gotten better. GREAT album!

I hated the album as a whole when I first heard it...it still sounds like a demo to me, not enough ummph...but it has gotten better with each listen. I even worked out to it on my iPod yesterday!

Hell YES!!!! It's gettin' better every time I hear it. I thinks it's gonna end up goin' down as a fav. But then, they all do anyway, don't they?

yes....i wonder if that's because we are so excited when it first comes out expecting it to blow us away.....then after a few months we mellow out and listen to it for real

Definitely. It's my pick for 3rd best album of the year which is something I didn't expect a new Prince album to be able to do after NEWS and Musicology. So many great songs on there and only 2 clunkers (Incense and Candles & Beautiful, Loved, & Blessed)

Oh yes, the album is definitely a grower with time. I listened to the album all the way through for the first time in months a few weeks ago and was taken aback as to how fresh it sounded. Definitely a big plus over Musicology, which got stale over time for a while.

Nope,Only good songs are fury,love,and the word...everything else sounds old and dated!
black sweat would have been good but the high pitch keyboard whinning with no melody or purpose makes it sound old

yes... I haven't listened to it for a couple of months and i just popped it in my car cd player just a few days ago and I'm enjoying it more than i ever did.

Everyone knows what the GREAT songs on the CD are, but I'm hearing some flack over these:

Beautiful, Loved & Blessed - This is a grower. My 10 year old loves it. This, folks, is a VERY good RnB song...with a positive message to boot!

Incense & Candles - Love this song...good rap portion. Also, aren't we always asking Prince to experiment with his songs. He brought back the Roger Zapp voice do-hickey for this song. Cool little jingle.

Te Amo Corazon - Well, he can't hit a homerun EVERY time...lol. But, some people like it...just not me.

Every other song is a SMASH for me...SMASH I said.

I agree with BLB--except I don't think that it's in the right place on the album. There should have been something hotter leading up to The Dance. It ruins the flow of the album. Still, I like the song and it gets stuck in my head.

Incense & Candles is one of my favorites. It's so goofy I love it. Who else would be be bold enough to be so god damned dorky?

Te Amo Corazon--I don't like it at all, but when I play it and people are around it doesn't stick out as embarassing--like Incense & Candles!

It's my favorite album of the year so far, and Prince hasn't had that distinction for a long time.

I was thinking this last night. I hadn't listened to it in a couple weeks and the song 3121 came on my iPod randomly and it sounds SO fucking good. Damn that track is funky. I got home and put the disc on...and yeah...the whole thing is getting better the longer its out...something I haven't been able to say since Gold Experience. Expecially that title track...so damn cool.

I just wish it got the attention it deserves...this thing should be ALL over the radio. Damn corporate bullshit...

3121 is the entire reason i've become interested in Prince. I mean, i love a lot of the old stuff so i have the Hits and B Sides album but that's it. I got 3121 on the offchance that it might be amazing and i was right. I really love it and i think it's gonna be one of those that i love for a very long time.

Honestly I haven't spun it since my first long go-round with it. I've probably gotten most of my joy out of it by now. It'll get back in the player soon...

From the very first time I purchased 3121, it became my music of choice. I have played only this CD. It’s a wonderful thing when u can play a CD and not skip over ANY song. I love this CD FROM BEGINNING 2 END.. Sometimes I put 3121 on repeat and blast it. 3121 IS WAY 2 FUNKY. I hear more negative things about this CD than positive. I post on this topic (3121) every time someone speak on it. My girls love it. They play it everyday and know all the words. One of my girls made Incense & Candles her ring tone.

Just the opposite, I started off really excited about it. Now i only listen to The Word.

Music don't get better or worse with time. Music is just that, Music! You either like it for what it's worth and you feel or you don't.

3121 IS good Prince music

Still he should have done Incense and Candles on the BET awards and forced the issue with R&B radio at least. Sometimes they still play him.
