Ok this is the third lawsuit about Prince that i know of that has a dumb reason.

1. 2001- sued because somebody took a pic of him at an airport and his body guard took the camera and broke it.

2. 2006- painted his house with purple stripes and the male/female symbol, supposedly violated the lease on it.

3. 2006- gettin sued because he is using the logo NPG!? Prince dropped out of school (I heard not sure) I doubt if he reads anything accept lyrics, and checks, and the bible. How the hell would he know that there was another NPG. B-sides he has been having the NPG logo since 1990 so he should be suing them for using his logo. And nobody is going to get confused because the LOGO says NPG Music Club not just NPG. Prince if u r on this site just tell that to the judge. U should use NPGMC, there case solved.

Prince - and anyone else - can find out about any registered trademark ... just look in the register.

The opposition that has been lodged concerns Prince seeking to extend the use of the mark(s) for activities which compete with a mark that is already registered and known for those activities.

The fact that an NPG logo in and of itself may have been registered first is less material than the underlying activities with which it has been associated.

Prince has a number of marks registered ... not just one that reads 'NPG Music Club'
