Romance 1600 - Prince or Sheila?

The credits list Prince as co-writing Love Bizarre but not for the other songs... But did he write the whole album? Any thoughts?

The credits on that LP are correct.

Prince is writer of only:

One Day (IGMYM)
Koo Koo
Pride & The Passion
Boys Club
Love On A Blue Train

I never got the "Sheila E" album.

I was so in2 "The Glamourous Life" and "Romance 1600", that I thought it would be a letdown.

As I remember, Prince didn't play anything on that album... may have written, but didn't play.

TRUE?

FALSE?

Worth it?

Not?

I don't know whether or not Prince played anything on it - somebody else will have to answer that for you, but yes nod, it's definitely worth getting a copy. To me, it was a less pop-orientated, more mature album than the other two, it had more of a latin feel to it.

Of those three it's my favourite and to me it's the most complete, insofar as all the songs compliment eachother - the other two by comparison are just collections of (albeit very good) pop songs.

Anyway, it's definitely worth getting.
Lemmy, Bowie, Prince, Leonard. RIP.

Wow.

I was only judging it by the "made 4 BET" lead single... which had all of sounds that were so prominent during that time... kinda like a Karyn White treatment of a Prince-penned tune.

Now that I hear "more of a latin feel 2 it"... I gotta get it.

Thanks.

I don't have a copy now. But I really liked the album a lot. My favorite tracks were "Pride and the Passion" (really funky) "Faded Photographs" (great rock tune with brilliant guitar by levi) "Wednesday Like a River" and "Soul Salsa" (instrumental latin funk jam)

I don't know about Prince playing on it... but he wrote a bunch of the music, so I'd be surprised if he wasn't playing on it.
