What singles should have come from the Emancipation CD?

How many do you think could have made some impact?

I dont think this cd had many strong "singles" but its a great cd. i woulda released "one of us" to get ppl interested in the project, "sleep around", "emancipation", "in this bed i scream"

I agree for "Sleep Around" and "Sex In The Summer".
I also think "Emale" at that time could have been a good single.

I think "Sleep Around" should have been the first single. It's a great uptempo dance track that would have gotten people excited about this project.

I would have chosen "Emale" as the second single. It's a dark, sexy song that would have fit perfectly on R&B radio back then, especially since it's midtempo.

Another strong single would have been "Sex In The Summer".

It certainly wasn t his best and to put out that much weak music really killed him. He should have really condensed this to a single disc featuring White Mansion, Sleep Around and Sex in the Summer along with a few of the cover tunes. I Cant Make U Love Me or Betcha By Golly Wow would have been great lead off tracks to grab the public's attention since radio loves remakes so much.

The Album was Great, Just the amount of music was overwhelming to anyone other than the casual fan! His creative outlet was pristine in this period! Emancipation could of been another Sign O' The Times if it left out some songs
i still believe its one of his better Albums, probably the best set of songs of the 90's era of Prince

I see a bunch of people listing their favorite songs on here or something.

Sorry, but if you think back to 1996 and 1997 and try to fit "Friend, Lover, Sister, Mother/Wife" or "Sleep Around" or "White Mansion" next to the popular songs at the time.... Um... What? Get the hell outta here.

The only tracks that I see doing anything on the radio might be "Damned If I Do", "Sex In The Summer", or "Right Back Here In My Arms".
