..hmmm or just to make it all more confusing - the song is called Ana Stasia, and the last Russian Zar's (Nikolai the 2. not sure) daughter was called Anastasia and her mother Alexandra turned very depressed when Anastasia's littlebrother Alexei was borned with a blood disease so she turned to a monk who became her most valued advisor and gained alot of influence on Alexandra which was not looked well upon by serten important people in Russia...and the monk's name was Rasputin...and I think his first name was Gregory....anyway it probably has absolutly nothing to do with prince's song...he probably doesnt care for russian history....but its a fascinating story....I'll let it go now...

I had always thought that this line seemed like the thoughts of someone on X, because I actually heard a normally reserved straight guy on x in 1988 say that another guy looked like a beautiful woman.

I believe the song refes to Greg Brooks, but also, P and Mayte did name
thier son Gregory as well.

i heard a long time ago that heroin addicts when they shoot up, decribe the needle as it drips the drug as "a woman wetting her lips" and speaking to them. that would explain "a beautiful girl the most...." maybe???? then you have "heroin" the drug and "heroine" which is a strong, female hero...as far a gregory looking just like a ghost, i think this has something to do with cocaine.
