Hi all! I'm new 2 this site but have been a Prince fan since I was 9. I have on and off followed his career but am most likely off a bit with the times. The only way that i keep us is from what kids tell me.

So who is Avante? And where has he been? Prince has always worn his hair permed (so i thought at least when '1999' was released), has always worn the heels (which i thought was for the ladies), and beginning with the period of Purple Rain has always worn make-up (though it can be a bit much at times). What's the big deal? There are tons of men who wear make-up in the entertainment industry.

I have no idea who Avant is, but I think there is a reason why Avant is voicing comments about Prince on a magazine and not the other way around.

I heard of the name Avant but I dont even know what was his hit song? I know he isnt from the 90s R&B era or I would have know who he is. I tuned out to current music after 1999 with exception very few songs. I mean I can able to count them on my fingers

Eye no Avant. I can honestly say Avant must not really know Prince too well. Prince can be very outspoken when it comes to critiquing new jacks and let's just say one interview with P could end Avant's pseudo career. I remember the article when Prince was asked about Missy and Timbaland and he said "Everyone's whining about people stealing their sound, if you're so bad flip your style thats' what I've always done." Then Missy tried to come back in a couple of songs and then Prince got the last word with the infamous line " I'm gonna put her on the same diet Missy went on... I don't know why but even though Avant is a nobody I would still love to hear Prince's thoughts on him. Avant is trippin.

Yeah I got the album like last month. I don't think I listened to all of that song though. I would love to hear him put Avant in his place though.

...and who is Avant again??? His 4th album will probably be his last too. It's amazing to me that alot of these young cats like Avant and even Usher can diss somebody as mutli-talented as Prince. They have not yet put in the time or longevity of a career to be hatin on somebody of Prince's caliber.

Don't ya'll know thats like the theif looking from behind the door? The guy is nothing a zero he matters not.... and besides he didn't apparently say anything that many a hardcore fan of Price hasn't said or wondered.

Heck if folks really wanted to talk about this issue it might be framed like this.

How many folks feel like Princes feminine appearance and at times peculiar personality have prevented this musically charged dynamo from ruling music all together? Lets face it folks the feminine thing is very much a turnoff for a ton of folks.
