I love reading the threads about his persona, entourage and life, since I think he was the biggest artist of the 80’s: awesome composer, singer, producer, and a extremely charismatic performer.

3) Have u ever wondered if he is happy or do u just want him to crank out more music to make U happy? Eye wonder alot about him and hope he is happy and hope for more jams from him.
4) If he is still married, but not acting as a the husband he should be, do u care or do u say..."Hey whatever floats his boat as long as he is putting out music?" His marriage is none of my bizness,but I would hope he is respectful to her. In the long run tho', it dont affect me at all.

5) (no matter if u r religious or not) If he calls himself a Christian, but doesn't act as a Christian should, let alone a JW do u care? Would it change how u look at him if he left the church or would u say..."Thank Goodness, now he can be raunchy again, cuss and shake it on stage? There are many who are christian and you would not know it by the way they lead their lives. Remember Jesus came for the lost, the sick..as 4 the music,Eye hope he never records a raunchy record again.
6) Do u care how he treats people or do u say, "That's Prince, he does whatever he wants whenever he wants, oh well?" we all treat people bad at one time or another. he is no different than u and me.
7) Do u care about HIS soul? Eye cannot save his soul, only GOD can

8) Do u really care about his health or do u say "Dang, who cares if he ever sleeps, let the man party on and keep writing songs" he looked healthy 2 me
9) Do U think Prince cares what U think of him? probably not

We get so involved in what WE want that we loose sight that he really is just a person behind all of that makeup and facial remarks. Not all the money in the world can buy happiness, what truly matters is what is in ur soul.

So the final question is this:

10) Would U pray for Prince? eye would pray 4 any 1 including U

It's interesting 2 me that u would ask these questions of someone that u do not KNOW. The average person would NOT ask these questions of themselves.

I think I'm a bit more concerned about U.....

...something about these question that makes me wonder if.....

Exactly. Those people who are only interested in the music sometimes they act like they are somehow more normal than those who are interested in both Prince the person + music. Prince is a dynamic person with alot of creative energy inside of him. People are attracted to that and curious about someone with that kind of mind.

There is nothing wrong with not caring about Prince the person or just liking his music but Prince IS a role model to lots of people. The way he lives his life is an example to lots of people who look up to him. We are all attracted to those people who we admire and are curious about them...it's kind of natural to want to read about his life or interviews with him on what he thinks. I think most people have that someone who they wish they could be like...my father was really into Mozart...he read extensivly about him and loved all his work. But he just really admired him. Prince has a very public life and teaches people alot through his life and music.

This being said I am not saying fans have a right to know EVERYTHING about him...I think it goes without saying that Prince is a real person and needs a certain amount of privacy and others should respect that. But honestly I think most fans know this, even those who are really into him know that. Prince fans feel alot of affection for him because he is so human and honest with his work. It's easy to feel like you understand him because he lets you know so much through his work. but to most fans who have not met him he is an image, an ideal, a fantasy...if you ever did meet him...who knows...you have know idea who he REALLY is...you just have an ideal of who you THINK he is or who you want him to be. I think most fans who look up to him want to meet him because they want to feel his energy, want to know if he is the fantasy that they think he is...or maybe they want to be validated by him or acknowledged because then they feel it is justifiable for them to admire him so much. That's alot of pressure for him but that is something that goes along with the territory with having the power to transform people through your gifts I think.

So my point is if you just like his music, don't really know or care that he is a person that is ok...or if you really like the person he is and want to pray for him, it is all good. As long as you give him the proper respect and space you would give any other human being I think it all stems for a good place.
