There's a difference between varying tastes and bad taste. NPS, the song, is awful. It's impossible for human beings with functioning ears to prefer that to Let's Go Crazy unless somebody forced you to listen to Let's Go Crazy continuously with no sleep while beating you (you get the picture). Other songs are debatable and the occassional weirdo is bound to prefer NPS the album (I like Chaos and Disorder) to Purple Rain but the title song, NPS, is possibly one of the worst songs ever recorded-- by anybody.
