Is Prince the new Liberace...

... or is it just me?

Lyrically Prince has always been something of a hedonist and, with the odd flirtations with politics (clumsy) and religion (impenetrable, as he doesn't seem to understand what he believes anyway) aside, his raison d'etre (is that right?) is to PARTAY like it's... whenever.

His move to VEGAS is entirely understandable. That's where he belongs. The cliche that he has evolved into fits nicely in Sin City. He IS an old-scraggly-head and can play 'like he used to' for all he's worth. He's now, no longer relevant, but a massive talent who's reason is to entertain - which he readily does.

Prince is Liberace.

Also, he could b going through the "Mountain-Mohammed Syndrome" phase as is the case with Celine Dion!! Doesnt want 2 tour anymore so, all the fans have 2 come and see her!! Prince maybe sick and tired of touring(after all he IS 48 now, dont forget!! Although, if the Rolling Stones can still tour and rip up concert arenas, I am sure he can still!!) and has set up a geographically central base, so that all his fans can come and see him, instead!! nod nod

since when did prince move to vegas? eek

a lot of artists do a lot of work there because there is no income tax so i would be completely surprised. but this is new to me. can anyone clarify.

WHoa...scary lol Personally I think Michael Jackson would be better suited for Vegas...even though lil P loves to scream "Vegas" at the end of his songs.

Again. I am shocked at some of these statements about Liberace. He won many a ladies heart and was considered very good looking in his day. nod

i believe he held a press conference right before he died, or he at least had a press release issued confirming that he had full blown AIDS. in fact, it may have been a press release issued posthumously...i forget, but it was confirmed.

But he was never confirmed to be gay. In fact the "museum" or whatever doesn't talk about it at all.

Everyone know Liberace was gay, but he was never, ever out. If I recall correctly, even his lover/partner/homie doesn't admit to their relationship.

ohh, i dunno...ooh! there's this one guy i've heard about who dresses really sharp (wears high-heeled shoes, even!) and plays the piano and is really handsome and the ladies think he's totally sexxified...think his name is court jester or magistrate or something like that.

hmmm
