Carlos Santana Affirmed by Prince... Cool! Just pulled this up today.... Just another testament to our boy!
What’s your first reaction when you hear guitarists who have been influenced by your approach to tone and phrasing, such as Los Lonely Boys’ Henry Garza or Orianthi? I cheer so loud, man. It feels good, because for a long time I wasn’t sure if people thought of me as an influential guitar player. As a matter of fact, it wasn’t until Prince told me that I was a major influence on his playing that I realized maybe I had left a mark with my guitar. Yeah, many cats have never listed Santana as one of their influences. Ernie Isley did mention Carlos before Prince did, but P, of course is more well known. SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."

Man Santana rocks out!
His awesome live 2 ive seen a few dvds and hear a few live tracks, he goes nuts! Except i dislike the whities that r in his band, i mean we need more latino groove, i really dislike Oye Como Va cause of the white guy singin it, like its a madd song and all but it takes u away from the mad latino stylings of Santana. It never ceases to amaze me the amount of dumbass things people say on this site. Racism is indeed alive and well. 
Carlos is one of the true greats! He's a man of substance and I highly respect him and I love his music. The fact that he has many different ethnic people in his band proves to me that he's only concerned with love and music, not racial issues. I know he's very religious and spiritual, but he never seems to force it on anyone. He always speaks of love and helping others at his concerts, but he never preaches. Prince could learn a few things from Carlos. | |

I really couldnt give a shit wat a bunch of random people on the internet think about my opinion cause without a shadow of a doubt EVERY1 in this world has an opinion that sum1 else doesnt like, and i just dont like the flow of this song with the guy singing it! It doesnt work for me is all i was saying, think of it as racism if u want but i know wat i meant 2 say so i dont care wat u all think! I like 2 stir shit as well and i like 2 c other peoples responces and clearly i have found a sweet spot in sum of u haha!
