I also hope that this is just a one-off performance with Larry.I love old skool funk but even I was getting tired of Prince playing Sly numbers just 2 accomodate Larry when he`s got hundreds of his own songs that 2 quote Alecia`are untold passions dying 2 be heard`!

I don´t like that word "best" when it comes to musicians....I am not a musician, and I know Larry is the Godfather of bass playing but that doesn´t equate to him being my favorite bassplayer in Prince´s camp...I prefer Sonny and Brownmark....my all time heroes with a unique sound. Just like Maceo and Eric Leeds....Maceo is the king, the one and only, a legend, he´s even Eric´s hero and of course it´s nice to see him onstage with Prince, but I prefer Eric any day because he´s the one and only Eric Leeds and he´s part of the Prince universe....Maceo, and Larry for that matter, are way too much artists in their own right, I mean their presence is a bit too overwhelming, and I don´t mean it in a bad or technical way, it´s just that they´re a tad too dominant for my taste.
