AHA!! Just look at that last pic! So it's true . . . He is not! No wedding ring . . . . hmmm, oh yeah, that's right, he supposedly takes it off or something when playing guitar or something I kept waiting for someone to bring that up. But if you'll notice, he does have a ring on his right-hand ring finger. In the US the wedding ring is normally on the left hand, but I think in some European countries they wear it on the right. (Yes, I know Prince isn't European, but he borrows customs from other cultures all the time.) Also, remember in UTCM, Christopher Tracy wore a ring on his right hand ring finger. (Although CT was a gigelo...) funny arse sh*t. the man originally used the western version of ring etiquite (sic)....nice try though. Space for sale...

I feel sorry for the kids watching him who want to learn to play guitar but can't afford one. Did you read the comments posted on the video blog website? People are really doggin' on him about that. I think it's kinda lame...people need to lighten up. It's not like he invaded Iraq or something. Jamie: I have respect for the instruments and the craftmanship and beauty of them. Is it not offensive to see an 'artist' throw his guitar on the floor? It seems arogant and conspicuously decadant. Anyone else have a problem with this?
PW Fenton: I think back to working as a busboy so I could save up $45 for cheap guitar. Then I see Prince throw a guitar over his head, crashing it to the stage, to mark the end of a song, and it makes me think very bad words.
I could tell him about The Urban Gateways program which would love to give his used (and unbroken) instruments to children. (http://www.urbangateways.org/new/musical.html) Or I could tell him about the Steven Spring Foundation that collects used instruments to help all the New Orleans musicians that lost their means of earning a living in Hurricane Katrina. (http://stevenspringfoundation.org) maybe someone should tell him about SST/Brand New Orleans and how Prince donated the proceeds of sales to victims? tony: Good episode - great editing.
About Princey -- this ain't the 60s, smashing guitars is so old -- what a poser - if he threw it to somebody that'd be such a class/creative thing to do. I guess Tony didn't get the memo that Prince has been doing that for years. The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

Well if we're gonna do that, why not say: (1980-81) "Now Prince is corrupting children simulating masturbation." (1982-84+) "Now Prince is encouraging children to dress like women." Prince doesn't "throw his guitars away" at the end of a performance. He throws them, but there is always a tech there to catch them. If he was throwing away guitars like that do you know how much money he would have to spend on replacements? That is such an uninformed discussion to have. He is NOT throwing away his guitars. Yes, he has done this for years and if you look closely you can see that he throws the guitars to a tech. Those folks need to find something factual to discuss. A man with guts living for his music, should do without that crap. Some of you should just go away the bitch has worn makeup since DAY ONE & there's no evidence of him doing "without that crap" after all these years - get over it I mean REALLY

Maybe its because i am more mature now, i mean, a guy almost 50, wearing make-up, affraid to show his real age, its gets a bit annoying in my opinion (I am a music fan, and i love Prince for his music, but i am bright enought too know that a persons looks at life influences their creativity, so, if Prince is still wearing make-up knowadays, it might explain the record 3121...you get it?)

I get that Prince is a vain bitch who will ALWAYS wear makeup, ALWAYS have a perm & NEVER apologize for it And I love him for that! Seriously man, he is who he is. Some of it's great, some of it's not but I just don't take it that seriously. He is wearing less on the eyes these days at times & I appreciate that - I hope he lessens it even more as he gets older but I don't expect him to ever stop wearing it completely. It's just not gonna happen, so you being annoyed is gonna last for how long?

I am just hoping he does give up on such superficial things, and understands that getting older means getting wiser also: I mean, look at R.L. Burnside, Solomon Burke, Bono or Michael Stipe, do they need make-up, sunglasses and fancy clothing to express themselves?

Umm, did their images EVER depend on it? Are you forgetting P started out prissy (hair & clothes)? I mean come on That's kind of the beauty of it in a way though - that he can distract you w/ all the bullshit that might make people turn away yet he's still a bad mf underneath all that I dunno man, if you're not used to the pancake by now when the hell did you get on board? . WTF??? What in the world does your sexual orientation have to do w/ Princey's love for all things MAC??? That makeup must be confusing you, making you just a liiiiitle stiff Which you find upsetting b/c you "ain't gay" & you gotta fight that nagging feeling of wanting to bust Prince in that perfect ass of his, hair & all Am I close? Seriously though, you lost me w/ the "I ain't gay" shit Any true P fan should know by now - let this mf BE...

Bono is one of the biggest fashion whores around! I was about to say... wtf! This is the same man who had someone fly a fuggin' hat to him because he left the shit on a plane or some shit. And he always has on sun glasses. I'm with CalhounSq "SHUT THE FUCK UP." Mofo's complaining about petty crap that doesn't effect them in their daily life at all. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
