Both are brilliant. Both are flawed. Both were different from anything else that anybody was releasing at the time. Both has only a smattering of radio-friendly singles, the rest being a part of an interlocked message that some or most or none of us got. Both were commericially disappointing but almost universally embraced by "family". Both were ball's out creative. Both added new fans and alienated old ones. Both are considered vital in the cannon of great work.
Toss up. I go with Parade if only because of the "one track, having to fast forward the CD" thing. All good things they say never last... | |
