After watching the performace on GMA I was struck at how Prince looked. Too me he didn't look healthy or happy, so I prayed for him and I have prayed every day since then for him. I have some questions for you to think about and please respond. This is not a Religious thread, but actually one out of care & concern.

1) Have u ever thought about Prince...the person..not the Musician up on the stage? Do u care about him or just his music?

2) If he never played another concert or put out another album would u still wish him the Best in whatever he does?

3) Have u ever wondered if he is happy or do u just want him to crank out more music to make U happy?

4) If he is still married, but not acting as a the husband he should be, do u care or do u say..."Hey whatever floats his boat as long as he is putting out music?"

5) (no matter if u r religious or not) If he calls himself a Christian, but doesn't act as a Christian should, let alone a JW do u care? Would it change how u look at him if he left the church or would u say..."Thank Goodness, now he can be raunchy again, cuss and shake it on stage?

6) Do u care how he treats people or do u say, "That's Prince, he does whatever he wants whenever he wants, oh well?"

7) Do u care about HIS soul?

8) Do u really care about his health or do u say "Dang, who cares if he ever sleeps, let the man party on and keep writing songs"

9) Do U think Prince cares what U think of him?

We get so involved in what WE want that we loose sight that he really is just a person behind all of that makeup and facial remarks. Not all the money in the world can buy happiness, what truly matters is what is in ur soul.

So the final question is this:

10) Would U pray for Prince?

3) Have u ever wondered if he is happy or do u just want him to crank out more music to make U happy? - Again, about as much as I care about anyone's happiness. I certainly don't wish him ill will, but he's not exactly my best friend either.

4) If he is still married, but not acting as a the husband he should be, do u care or do u say..."Hey whatever floats his boat as long as he is putting out music?" - Whatever floats his boat. His marriage is his business.

5) (no matter if u r religious or not) If he calls himself a Christian, but doesn't act as a Christian should, let alone a JW do u care? Would it change how u look at him if he left the church or would u say..."Thank Goodness, now he can be raunchy again, cuss and shake it on stage? - Whatever phase he goes through something else is always around the corner.

6) Do u care how he treats people or do u say, "That's Prince, he does whatever he wants whenever he wants, oh well?" - Marginally, but only in how it affects myself. I don't always agree with his business practices, but I've not seen anything downright evil. But if I were, yeah, it would piss me off and turn me off of him as a person. I'd be less inclined to support him financially.

7) Do u care about HIS soul? - I don't believe in souls.

8) Do u really care about his health or do u say "Dang, who cares if he ever sleeps, let the man party on and keep writing songs" - Like above, no more or less than I care about anyone.

9) Do U think Prince cares what U think of him? - honestly? hell no.


10) Would U pray for Prince? I dont pray.

There is nothing wrong with praying for people, but maybe you think he looks unhealthy because you are feeling unhealthy.

It is said that people project themselves onto other things when they are down.

With that said, Prince to me looked fine. He still looks young for his age, he was smiling and moving around more than he has in years.

I've always been one to be concerned with his personal content.

I will always post on various sites my opinions or suggestions.

I'm always wanting for more music but I obviously have to be content with what he chooses to release.

He can choose to follow God or the Devil
but it's not in my power to wish for his direcion.

If he were to personally ask for my opinion I would say the signs are all right in front of him (and behind him).

People who wish him to be divorced or overly sexual, against his personal fulfillment, are cruel and unusually corrupt.

sometimes i wonder what it must be like to be prince (or any other uber-famous celebrity). i care about him as a human but i don't lose sleep over him. i prefer to focus on the music. kinda like when i go to the supermarket, i focus on my groceries and not the person ringing me up.

as a christian i can't stand public figures who claim to be religious then treat people like shit. its a general rule, not just one for prince.

i think he cares very much. not me, personally, but the general public. if he didn't care what people thought, he'd not have these cheesy celeb parties and then brag about them on his website.

why would i not pray for prince? i mean, i don't keep ol' boy in my prayers as a regular sort of thing but if i heard something bad was goig on sure, like i'd do for everyone else, i'd pray for him.

His welfare/soul is more than happy with my credit card details, and that arrangement is fine by me. Caring for 'the person' is ridiculous without knowing them, as someone said before, it's your (or my) projection.

Prince is exactly where Prince has chosen to be...

I see older men and women, pregnant women, people with canes etc... get on buses and no one offers a seat...they pretend not to see them. This happens all the time. It's not just kids, it's everyone. So do I think people care about celebs beyond the persona? No. If Prince were that older man on the bus would someone give up their seat for him? Probably not.

The fan/celeb relationship is surface and selfish (in a give and take kind of way). I can't see how happiness can come out of that.

I honestly can't imagine how a lifestyle of celebrity, in itself, can make anyone happy. If anything, it must make that harder to find. If Prince decided to never release another CD because he wanted to focus on his family, his spirituality and his happiness, I would not only totally respect that...I would admire it.

I would contribute a prayers to your cause but I don't think anyone listens to mine. sorry.
