and the infamous "fritos" incident...i wasn't on the org/PPML yet when that happened, but i remember it was added to the org FAQs a long time ago. IIRC, the story went like this: someone had asked about a certain line from "the good life", the bit about "aretha franklin with a sack of fritos" (i'm paraphrasing there, i forgot how the line goes exactly but it's close--somebody correct me if i'm wrong). an overseas orger asked what fritos were, and someone else answered to the tune of saying they were corn chips that were usually eaten by african-americans. obviously that answer got a lotta muthafuckas pissed off and flame wars ensued.

some of you who were around back in those days might remember that incident a lot better than i remember it...
