Prince&friends tour I've heard rumorsof this but wouldn't it be cool.
Prince doing a tour with his old compadres on the next tour. Prince be the headliners but The Time,Sheila E,Chaka Kahn,Sheena Easton,Wendy&Lisa, and George CLinton all be on the Bill with him, [Edited 5/25/06 0:03am] Working up a purple sweat. | |

I really think it would be impossible to have an entourage like that go on tour with Prince. He would be footing the bill and wouldn't make money after all the expense of all their equipment, wages, hotels, tour buses etc. The reason he earned so much on the Musicology tour is because he had a relatively stripped down show with only limited personnel.
He would have to ramp the price of a ticket right up and that in itself would put off a big share of his potential audience. I can see him having 2 opening acts (which could be different at different parts of the tour) but not all at once. | |

It would work out okay. You see, you have to consider it an investment in future concerts. As long as he makes SOME money, he can turn the public interest into more money in the next couple of years when he goes back to doing solo shows with stripped down touring packages. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
